Meet Our Team
Ms. Roxanne- Centre Director
Roxanne is a Level 3 Child Development
Supervisor who earned her diploma in
Early Childhood Education and
Development at Bow Valley College.
Roxanne also has earned her Bachelor of
Science in Nursing and worked as a
Polysomnographic Technologist before
deciding to focus on her passion to work
with children.
“I am an adventurous soul who finds solace
and inspiration in the great outdoors, and I
am equally passionate about making a
positive impact on the lives of children.
These two facets of my life complement
each other, allowing me to share my love
for nature and adventure while also
nurturing the growth and development of
young minds”
Ms. Sabrina- Caterpillar Lead
Educator
Although Sabrina was born and raised in
Calgary, her family roots trace back to the
Philippines. She is fluent in both English
and Tagalog and is eager to learn
additional languages in the near future.
Sabrina holds a degree in Child Studies
with a major in Early Childhood Education
and a minor in Psychology from Mount
Royal University. With six years of
experience in the field, including both
practicum and professional roles, Sabrina
has worked with children ranging from
infancy to 12 years old. However, her
primary focus has been on children aged
0-2 years.
Sabrina is passionate about learning and
plans to pursue a Master’s degree in the
future, specializing in child development. In
her spare time, Sabrina enjoys reading,
watching movies, and spending quality
time with friends and family.
Ms. Joy- Caterpillar Educator
Ms. Joy was born, raised, and educated in
South Korea, where she obtained a minor
in education and a teaching license. This
credential enabled her to receive early
childhood certification in Alberta. While
her role in this field is new, her experience
as a mother of two sons has instilled in her
the belief that love, encouragement, and
patience are crucial for children's growth.
She finds immense joy in the smiles and
love from the children she cares for, often
feeling rewarded by their hugs and bright
smiles.
Ms. Joy enjoys painting, gardening, and
spending time with her two puppies. She is
delighted by the beautiful nature of
Canada and its cultural diversity, which
adds to her enriching experience in early
childhood education. Her dedication and
nurturing approach make her a valuable
addition to our daycare team.
Ms. Jashan- Caterpillar
Educator
Jashan is from Punjab, India. She is a
Level 3 Early Childhood Educator and she
completed her studies in Early Learning at
NorQuest College, in Edmonton. Jashan is
a passionate person who wants to keep
growing in her career.
“I am 20 years old and I came into this
field due to my own amazing childhood
and passion to work with children. I have a
playful and extrovert personality, and I
love talking and playing with the kids
discovering their interests. I love art and
painting, and I am fond of travelling. I was
raised in the countryside in India, so I
believe the connection between nature
and children’s early development is vital.
Therefore, I constantly work to provide
more natural materials to children to
enhance their possibilities for play. I want
to make children’s learning fun!”
Ms. Rachida- PreK 1 Educator
Rachida, originally from Morocco,
graduated as an office secretary and
holds a Level 1 Early Childhood Education
certification. Before moving to Canada,
she gained valuable experience working
with children in daycare and supporting
school-aged children with their homework.
Her passion for early childhood education
led her to pursue her dream of working
with young children, which she began in
mid-2022 at a daycare in Canada.
Rachida's enthusiasm for her work is
evident in her daily interactions with the
children, whom she describes as a source
of joy and energy. In addition to her
professional pursuits, she enjoys shopping,
travelling, and cooking. Her diverse
background and dedication to nurturing
young minds make her a valuable asset to
our daycare team.
Ms. Gaby- Enrichment
Program Educator
Mrs. Gaby was born and raised in Mexico,
where she earned her bachelor's degree in
Media and Communication with a
specialization in Design and Advertising.
Her initial teaching experience was in an
elementary school. She later moved to
Canada with her husband and two
children, Ximena and Max.
Passionate about education, Mrs. Gaby is
dedicated to nurturing children's growth
and development. As a Latina, she values
family, friendship, and teamwork. She
believes in promoting creativity and
embraces the philosophy that the sky is
the limit.
Ms. Ato- Cook and Float
Educator
Originally from Japan, Ms. Ato moved to
Canada in 2012. For the past 10 years, she
has worked at a catering company in
Calgary, driven by her passion for food.
After having her two children, her interest
in nutrition and healthy eating deepened,
and she began to focus on providing
nutritious meals for her family.
“Cooking and baking for my children has
become a joy, and I believe that children
are our treasures and the future. I love
sharing my culinary expertise with children
and seeing their smiles. Food plays a
crucial role in physical and mental
development, and it is my pleasure to
prepare meals and snacks that support the
growth and well-being of the children in
our care”.
Ms. Khatara- Educator
Ms. Khatara hails from Afghanistan,
where she received her education and
began her career in secondary education,
working with high school students. She
later transitioned to a role as a teacher
and boarding school parent, focusing on
the holistic needs of children. Her career
took her to Qatar and Rwanda,
broadening her experience with diverse
educational settings.
In 2022, Ms. Khatara relocated to Calgary
and pursued her passion for early
childhood development. Her dedication to
nurturing and shaping young minds drives
her commitment to the field. She feels
immensely grateful to be part of a
community dedicated to the growth and
development of children.
